JOE LANDO IMDB: www.imdb.com/JoeLando Since his big break as Byron Sully, the enigmatic mountain man on the long running series “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” Joe Lando has been recognized for his work in a variety of mediums, from feature films to television and more. 2016 will see Lando co-star in Visual Arts Entertainment’s “The Untold Story” about the late English novelist and Nobel Prize nominee Edward Forester’s career and personal life. This past October, Reel One Pictures released on DVD EARTHFALL, starring Lando as a family man determined to reunite his wife and teenage daughter in the midst of an intergalactic disaster that spins the Earth from its orbit. Last year saw the release horror film of FRESHWATER costarring Lando and wrapped Pixl’s TV movie “Casa Vita” where he costarred opposite Lindsay Morgan (The CW’s THE 100) as her overbearing father and restaurant owner. In 2014, he joined several DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN cast mates as they all reprised their roles for the “Funny or Die” parody “Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman.” Joe Lando, a Chicago native and a former restaurant cook in Hollywood, first came to the attention of casting directors in 1990 when he was cast as heartthrob Jake Harrison on the soap opera “One Life to Live.” That job led to his most famous role to date as Byron Sully, the backwoodsman-love interest of Jane Seymour on TV’s “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” from 1993 to 1998 and was also named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People in the World.” In 2000, Lando starred and was executive co-producer for the series “Higher Ground,” where he portrayed a former Wall Street mogul turned headmaster of a progressive school for teens at risk. In the 2003 original TBS movie COUNTERSTRIKE, he costarred with Rob Estes as estranged brothers forced to come together to thwart an extremist’s plans when a peace summit is attacked by terrorists. Lando starred in KILLER FOOD, for Pax TV, and as the hero and star of “Devil Winds,” also for Pax. His film “Combustion” was released on DVD in the United States in 2004 and aired on the Lifetime Network as “Silent Killer,” that same year. Lando’s numerous other credits include guest star roles on Earthfall, Hit the Floor, The Secret Circle, Wildfire, Summerland, NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and Melrose Place. Joe is married to Kristen Barlow and they have four children.
